In the third quarter of 2024, the top social networking apps on iOS in Brazil showcased varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced dynamic shifts in downloads and active users, offering a glimpse into user engagement patterns across the region.

Threads saw a notable upward trend in downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 173K downloads and peaking at around 317K by early September. Its weekly active users mirrored this growth, climbing from 3M to over 5.8M by the end of the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 94K and 131K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users remained consistent, hovering around 5.7M, indicating steady user engagement.

Facebook experienced a slight decline in downloads from 112K at the start of the quarter to about 99K by the end. However, its weekly active users showed minimal fluctuations, maintaining around 28M. Revenue for Facebook showed an increase, reaching approximately $12.7K in the last week of September.

Telegram Messenger had a varied download pattern, starting at 101K and ending at 77K. Despite this, its weekly active users remained stable, averaging around 2M. Revenue fluctuated moderately, peaking at about $25.4K in late September.

Google Meet downloads showed a gradual increase, starting at 70K and reaching 73K by the quarter's end. It saw a steady rise in weekly active users, beginning at 40K and ending at 44K, suggesting growing user engagement over the period.
